Color Correction · Raleigh NC

Let’s Make
a Plan.

Whether your color turned too dark, too warm, too light, uneven, banded, or just not what you hoped for, we’ll meet you without judgment and build a realistic path forward.

Book a Color Correction Consultation

Consultation required before color correction appointments.

No Judgment. Just a Plan.

We know color correction can feel stressful.

Maybe it happened at home. Maybe it happened in another salon. Maybe your hair changed over time, or the result simply does not feel like you. Whatever brought you here, you do not need to explain it perfectly or feel embarrassed.

At The Junction Salon & Bar, color correction starts with understanding what happened, what your hair can safely handle, and what result is realistic. We will look at your current color, hair history, condition, banding, tone, and long-term goals before recommending a plan.

Whether you searched for color correction, box dye correction, brassy hair correction, or help fixing uneven color, the first step is an honest consultation.

Too Dark
For color that went deeper than expected and needs a careful plan to soften, shift, or gradually lighten.
Uneven or Banded
For visible lines, uneven lift, old color buildup, or sections that processed differently.
Brassy or Too Warm
For blonde, brunette, or red tones that feel too orange, yellow, coppery, or harsh.
Box Color Correction
For at-home color results that need professional assessment and a realistic repair plan.
Gradual Color Repair
For corrections that need more than one visit to protect hair health and reach the goal safely.
Major Color Change
Nothing has to have gone wrong. Sometimes the change you want is simply bigger than a standard color appointment, and needs the same careful, corrective-level plan.

Services & Pricing

Every correction starts with a consultation.

Color correction is priced at $120 per artist, per hour, plus materials.

Corrective color is priced by the time, expertise, and products required rather than as a standard service. Labor is billed at $120 per artist, per hour, and varies with your starting point, hair history, condition, length, and density. Color, lightener, treatments, bond-supporting products, and other materials used during the service are additional.

For some corrections, two artists may work together to shorten your time in the salon. Each artist’s time is billed separately, so two artists working for one hour is billed as two hours of corrective color work.

Your correction may include color removal, lightening, lowlights, glossing, toning, shadow rooting, blending, haircut shaping, or a multi-visit repair plan.

You will always know the plan before we begin. Before we start, we will talk through the likely time and estimated cost so you understand how the service is billed. You will also leave with thorough aftercare guidance to protect your hair’s health throughout the correction process and between visits. Some corrections take more than one appointment. We will tell you upfront if yours does.

A correction that actually worked

★★★★★

“Meghan saved me! A previous salon left my highlights untoned and brassy. She analyzed the levels, did a color melt to fix it, and I walked out ecstatic.”

Before You Book

Color correction, answered honestly.

Can you fix my hair in one visit?+
Sometimes, but not always. It depends on your starting color, previous color history, hair condition, and goal. During your consultation, we will tell you what can safely happen in one appointment and whether a gradual plan is the better path.
Should I try to fix it at home first?+
We recommend waiting until a stylist can assess your hair. More color, bleach, toner, or remover applied at home can make the correction harder and limit what we can safely do. Bring photos of your current hair and your goal, and we will help you understand the next safest step.
Will you judge me if I used box color?+
No. Life happens. Our job is not to judge how you got here. Our job is to understand what is on your hair now and build the safest, most realistic plan forward.

Your hair is not hopeless.

Start with a consultation. We will assess your color, explain your options, and create a plan that supports your hair health while moving you toward a result you feel good about.
