A model call is how talent becomes craft. Educational appointments at reduced rates, performed by our Emerging Artists in a supervised training environment.

What is a Model Call

When you book a model appointment at The Junction, you’re paired with one of our Emerging Artists, someone genuinely talented, deeply trained, and ready to grow. Your service is performed by them. But they don’t work alone. A Senior Artist is right there at the chair throughout, teaching, coaching, reviewing every step in real time. Nothing goes unchecked. Nothing moves forward without intention.

These appointments are not booked automatically. To be considered, complete the form below and include current photos of your hair along with inspiration photos, if you have them. This helps our team understand your starting point, your hair history, and whether your goal is a good fit for an upcoming training opportunity.

Model Call Pricing

Significantly reduced rates.

Because we’re using your appointment as part of our education program, services are offered at a substantially reduced rate, or in select cases, complimentary. Before-and-after photography may be added to our portfolio; you’ll know this upfront, no surprises. Pricing is not one-size-fits-all, it depends on the service, the time involved, and the products required.

Reduced service rate

Emerging Artist time is billed at a significantly reduced rate. Appointments may run longer than standard, Emerging Artists are developing precision, and that takes time. You’ll know exactly what to expect before we schedule anything.

Product cost

Color, lightener, toner, treatments, and chemicals are charged at cost. Product usage varies based on hair length, density, starting point, and the service being performed, all reviewed with you upfront.

What to include
in your submission.

Complete the form below and include the following. The more we can see, the better we can assess whether your goal is a good fit.

    Current photos in natural light

    Photos taken indoors under artificial light hide a lot. Natural light shows us your true color, texture, and condition accurately.

    A photo of your roots and scalp area

    If color is involved, we need to see your natural growth, how much regrowth you have, and what the demarcation looks like.

    A full-length photo showing current color and length

    We need to see the full picture, ends, mid-lengths, and overall condition, not just the crown.

    Inspiration photos, if you have them

    Not required, but helpful. A photo communicates a goal faster than any description.

    A brief description of your hair history and goal

    Previous color, chemical treatments, how long ago, what you are hoping to achieve, all of it helps us assess fit.
